Albert’s story

Albert Jumbe is the founder of DiscoverTZ, a Tanzania-based safari company dedicated to creating meaningful journeys while giving back to local communities. A member of the Nyiramba Tribe, a proud Bantu sub-tribe from Tanzania’s Singida region, Albert grew up in a small community where he developed lasting values of resilience, connection, and service.
His work with the Asante Africa Foundation, which supports children in Tanzania and Kenya, provided Albert with leadership training and valuable experience engaging with communities and empowering others. That work shaped his vision and gave him the confidence to pursue his own path.
After earning a degree in tourism from Nairobi Institute, Albert entered the tourism industry, combining his professional foundation with a deep appreciation for Tanzania’s natural beauty. He founded DiscoverTZ to share the country’s extraordinary wildlife with visitors from around the world while ensuring that tourism creates meaningful benefits for the communities that make Tanzania special.
What began as a dream has grown into reality. Along the way, DiscoverTZ has supported many local drivers and guides, creating opportunities for people to thrive.
